  WHITCHURCH COMMUNITY CENTRE DEVELOPMENT
Demolition works have been completed at Whitchurch Community Centre to make way for the construction of a brand new community centre. The development and renovation project will cost in excess of £550k to complete and will completely transform the existing site into a contemporary community facility which will provide a diverse range of activities to the local community.

This five month construction and renovation project commenced last month and the new modern facility will provide two new large halls with the capacity to be sub-divided. The new hall will offer a diverse range of activities for children and adults and the refurbishment will provide an environment which is accessible and enjoyable to all members of the family.

Cllr. Nigel Howells, Executive Member for Sport, Leisure and Culture said “The construction and renovation project of Whitchurch Community Centre marks an additional stage in the commitment of Cardiff Council in providing the very best facilities for residents of Cardiff. The Council is dedicated to assisting families in Cardiff to lead a healthy lifestyle and we are looking forward to seeing the result of the development of the new community centre.”
