The Eco committee at Llanishen High School are continuing to run a printer cartridge and old mobile phone recycling scheme. If anyone (individuals or companies) has old printer cartridges or phones that they would like to dispose of, please drop them off at the main reception in the school. They are then collected at regular intervals by a recycling firm. Any money made will be put back into the school, with some also going to charity.
If your company does not already have a recycling facility for these items it is easy to set one up! Just log on to www.collect4school.co.uk where you can arrange for free collections to be made from your office or workplace. Any proceeds can then go to Llanishen High School (with some to charity).
We are also collecting old yellow pages at the school. Again, if you would like to have them recycled, please bring them to the school reception. Many thanks!
Once our Eco committee has decided on its priorities for this year, we will be publicising our ideas and plans. We very much look forward to working with the local community in environmental matters so please watch this space!
