  Llanishen Fach receives high praise
Cardiff school is praised by single parent

A mum has praised Llanishen Fach Primary School in Cardiff for giving her son “the best education” by going the extra mile to help her son with severe learning difficulties.

Sol Jorgensen, whose son is now 18 wants to thank Frank Rees, the Headteacher and Meryl Boast, the Deputy Headteacher who are due to retire this year after 18 and 16 years at the school respectively for providing her son with an excellent education.

Sol said: “Each school is built on the attitudes of the Head and Deputy Head. At Llanishen Fach I found it a welcoming, supportive, responsive school and a place of excellence.

“It proved to be the best school for Seth, and one which helped him to achieve his hidden potential. He had the best education at Llanishen Fach and I would like to thank Mr. Rees and Mrs. Boast for the great work they have done for Seth and at the school.''

Executive Member for Education and Lifelong Learning, Cllr Freda Salway, said: “A child’s education is an important part of their life and it is wonderful to hear of two teachers being thanked individually by a parent.

“I am sure that both Mr. Rees and Mrs. Boast will be greatly missed at the school and thought of fondly by all those who they have taught alongside and worked with during their careers.”
